The exams are graded, and they are satisfactory from my standpoint. No one will fail the course if they keep trying. There are a few folks who had trouble, and need to adjust their studying technique before the next exam. I’d advise everyone to join or form a study group and start discussing the concepts with each other, working problems, and the like. It’s a good strategy and works well for most people.
Some of you will not be satisfied with your grades. But there is plenty of time left to improve, and plenty of opportunity to earn more points. I am glad we took stock now before it is too late to make changes.
I’m posting the stem-and-leaf plot of the results below. If you are not familiar with one, it is like a histogram turned on its side, but where you can see the actual scores rather than just a dot or box in the histogram cell.
