I put some valuable links on the blogroll (left sidebar) under the ECO100 category. These are important for getting current and historical macroeconomic numbers, and also as a resource for discovering some of the methods used to acquire the data, which as we learned today is all important. I will add to these links as the course goes on.
- 19?? Flashback gives some historical data for a particular decade.
- BLS is the government’s bureau of labor statistics. Lots of info on employment.
- CIA Factbooks carry lots of information about almost any country in the world, and are a primary source of up-to-date information.
- OECD is the main source for economic data from its members.
- Minneapolis Fed has a lot of information about inflation and its measurement.
