CTL Certificate Program

In Spring 2007 term we are kicking off our certification program for business students.   Seniors will be standing for the certification exam which consists of six two-hour modules.  Passing all of them entitles a person to use the professional designation CTL after their name, much as a professional accountant can use the CPA designatin to demonstrate his professional expertise.  This designation is valued greatly by enterprises who want transportation and logistics experts working for them.

I will make an announcement about the formation of a study group for the exam at formation Friday.  It is aimed principally at Business majors, who have studied specifically the subjects covered in the exams.  Kalani Thibodeaux will be the chair of the group.  My view is that any student is welcome to join.  Only seniors can take the exam officially, since the certificate also requires a college degree.  We will be designing study plans for ourselves to concentrate on how to take the exams and be successful, and learning the concepts required to be successful on the exams.

It should be fun, and provide a way to enhance your marketability for your jobs after college.  See you at the first meeting– look for info about time and place here.
