Toyota Starts Traffic Data Service For Businesses

Will online traffic data in real time be useful in logistics?
I think so, and it is just a question of figuring how to deliver it at low cost and make use of it by individual vehicles.

‘Eurasia’ logistics hub at Le Havre

This story has both the good and bad of the Europe-Asia trade.  On the good side, there’s increased investment and opportunity in logistics with the Far East.  the hub is focused on luxury goods like wine right now!

On the bad side, at the bottom is the note that the largest shipment ever of  fake drugs was interdicted at Le Havre.  (The action had nothing to do with the ‘Eurasia’ hub.) 1.2 million doses of glucose masquerading as aspirin, from China.  It tells us we need to be ultra careful in dealings there or elsewhere, where the regulations are not so precise, perhaps, or policies not so customer-friendly.
